Reconstruction and improvement of cycle tracks and footpaths between South Lakes Leisure Centre and the Drumgor Centre begins January 6, 2025 and is expected to take 8 weeks. It is hoped that the upgrades create a safer and more enjoyable environment for walking and cycling, connecting residents to local schools and amenities. Temporary footpath closures may be necessary during construction.
The video below shows the section currently being upgraded and the junctions and access points that remain open. Further upgrades to sections of the Black Paths is expected in 2025.
We will keep you updated as the work progresses.
